We really lucked out big time with this one. A wedding at the beautiful Jersey shore! And a shore wedding means one thing – a mini vacay for yours truly. Being memorial day weekend, we left a day ahead of time to bypass any potential traffic nightmares. We arrived at our hotel with just enough daylight left to explore the nearby Asbury Park boardwalk and grab a bite to eat. Then it was off to bed. If we were going to bring our photo A-game to the wedding the following day, then we were going to need our beauty rest.
Emily, the unofficial queen of wedding DIY, took the art of creating custom wedding details to the next level for her big day. Her custom invites and ceremony programs were flawlessly designed and printed. And her individual HAND PAINTED seating cards and caricatured nesting doll cake toppers had wedding guests squealing with delight. Hand painted you say? Yes, hand painted… by Emily herself. Our personal faves were definitely the cake toppers. Each sported a spot-on likeness of the bride and groom. Well done Em!
Emily and Val chose to do their “first look” at Spring Lake Park. Then it was off to The Mill at Spring Lake for a casual lakeside ceremony followed by dinner and dancing. All floral arrangements, bouquets and boutonnieres provided by the extremely talented Dara Ellis from Designs by Dara.

Congratulations Emily and Val!
